Henrhyd Falls & Hike
Half hidden on the south side of the Brecon Beacons National Park, you’ll find Henrhyd Falls, which is one of the more breath taking waterfalls in Wales. It’s not as well-known as some of the national park's other hiking routes or trails though it does has a good claim to fame, making it a great place for hikers looking for a relatively quiet hike. Again, it has a surprising claim to fame being that it was featured as the location of the Batcave in Christopher Nolan's Batman films. This short route is suitable for a dedicated hiker or any outdoor enthusiasts. This waterfall should easily make it onto your hike list.
Where is Henrhyd Falls?
Henrhyd Falls is located in the Brecon Beacons National Park in South Wales. It’s just a short drive from the nearby town of Abercraf, though the hiking route sits between Abercraf and Coelbren. What to Wear at Henrhyd Falls
For the hike to Henrhyd Falls, we recommend wearing a lightweight, waterproof jacket, hiking trousers and a good mid-layer fleece to prepare for any weather conditions. The walk follows the Nant Llech, under the canopy of trees, so you’re quite well covered for the most part. It’s definitely worth wearing a good pair of walking boots, preferably waterproof hiking boots. The trail follows down the Nant Llech so the path can be quite muddy.
