Bromley Muir Trig From Lomond Shores
A lovely walk on a short section of the Three Lochs Way with stunning views of Loch Lomond, Ben Lomond and most of the surrounding hills.
The route is best started from the waterfront or the door of the Hawkshead Store. Ben Lomond can be seen along the Loch.
The route then takes the straight path along the right-hand side of the car park towards the Old Luss Road from the front of Lomond Shores. The path passes the birds of prey centre and continues under trees till you meet the old Luss Road at a T.
Turn left at the T and head along the Old Luss Road.
On the right-hand side of the road a short distance along you’ll see an old phone poll above a gate to a path towards the old Woodbank House.
The old building sits amongst some seriously cool trees. The building is a ruin so would not recommend going inside.
But lovely for a walk around.
Walk along the front of the hotel until it wraps around take a left along a trail through the field before it joins back on to the Three Lochs Way path beyond the fence. Keep an eye out for Red Squirrels here as they are normally jumping across the trees above you.
Head up the hill past the old farm and cross the footbridge over the A82
Cross the road onto the trail, Follow the path through the bluebells.
The path then intersects the road again. Follow the road on the right up the hill until you reach a gate.
Go through the gate and onto a rocky path.
There are normally sheep and lambs in this field. Follow the path up hill. The view on the right looking north up Loch Lomond is stunning and gets better the further up you go.
Follow the path till another gate. To the right of the gate there’s a boulder that makes a fantastic stop to take in the view.
The path now shoots off left just before the gate and heads up the Muir, slightly boggy to begin with but improves when it starts going up.
Follow this path up till the trig point of Bromley Moir. Fantastic panoramic views at the trip point.
Follow the same route back down to Loch Lomond Shores.
