My Craghoppers, My Kiwis: Charlotte Potter

Our legacy is Kiwi, it began in the 1950s, in Hebden Bridge, Yorkshire, the ambitious and intrepid Clarke Brothers came up with one of the first iconic outdoors products ever developed - the “Craghoppers.” A breech, lovingly known as “breeks”, manufactured from the finest Derby tweed and worn for every outdoor pursuit of the era, from walking the hills to climbing the crags and even skiing back down. Every year since, we have continued to hone and craft our designs and technology to create the perfect piece of legwear for you. From the cult status of our Kiwi Classic to the trusted performance of our Kiwi Pro, trousers are in our DNA.

We know that to our community, they are way more than a pair of walking trousers. In our new series; My Craghoppers, My Kiwis, we discuss the great outdoors with our community, exploring our legwear legacy and discovering just what makes these trousers so iconic.

Meet Charlotte Potter

Born in 2000 in North Yorkshire, Charlotte is rapidly gaining the highest acclaim for her performances in the UK and overseas. Charlotte has recently finished her training at The Guildhall School of Music and Drama, London (BMus Hons), and before this attended the prestigious Chetham’s School of Music Sixth Form in Manchester.

Living on the edge of the North York Moors National Park, Charlotte has always had a massive love for the outdoors and walking. Her Dad is a very keen hillwalker and Craghoppers is his favourite walking brand. The love for this wonderful British brand has now been passed onto her.

In spring 2020 Charlotte appeared in ITV’s Endeavour, and for the last two years, Charlotte has performed at The Festival of Remembrance at Durham Cathedral with the Band of the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers as their guest soloist. However, singing in caves in the Lake District has become a favourite space for Charlotte to sing.

Living in London for the last 4 years for University, escaping to the countryside has become more important than ever to Charlotte.

“I wear ball gowns for a living, but feel much more comfortable in my Craghoppers walking trousers, boots, fleece and warm coat! “
